Supported Media Formats & Codecs

Codec (COder/DECoder) is some kind of technology that is used for compressing and decompressing data such as audio (MP3) or video (MPEG). In short, codecs work inside players(like Windows Media Player) as a plug-in, and help you listen to audio files and watch video files in different formats.

Below we are going to show how to play certain types of files by installing proper codecs. The common part for all suggested codecs is that each has corresponding DirectShow filter for supported format. Note that in order to run any certain format with Ziepod+, you have to have its DirectShow filter installed on your computer.

Please keep in mind that we are just giving you an hint on how to solve one solution, but we are definitely not responsible about the consequences, since they are third-party software.

If you like to learn more about those codec packages, you can search them on the Internet and make sure about possible consequences before installing.
